First Ever Dual ISA Golf Outing Reaches Record Breaking AttendanceThe Indiana Subcontractors Association's (ISA) Annual Golf Outing reached new heights at the 2008 event hosting over 270 golfers (new record) and sponsors representing every aspect of the construction industry. The event, which took place at Heartland Crossing Golf Links, was originally designed to be an afternoon only golf outing where participating companies could network with golfers and sponsors to create new business relationships, share industry information, and simply compete in a friendly atmosphere. However, due to increasing awareness of the ISA and the numerous networking and educational opportunities available to the industry, the demand for the event was so high that the ISA Special Events Committee, chaired by Andy Imes of Spohn Associates, made a decision to open a second morning golf outing. This decision came after a large number of companies had requested to be placed on a waiting list for the limited number of spots in the afternoon. (In the photo: Past ISA President Kent Burget attempts to chip one in) The competition started in the morning where companies competed for the title of 1st and 2nd place among a field of 22 foursomes. Finally, as a special award, ISA always announces the winner of the “highest score award.” This year it goes to Somerset CPAs for their outstanding display of hitting every sand bunker and water hole along the way. Heartland Golf Links officials now classify the event as the largest outing the course will have all year. GOLF OUTING SPONSORS
